Shopping in Amsterdam

One of the many things you can do is shopping in Amsterdam. There are a few districts that are excellent to go to. The main shopping street is the Kalverstraat. This street is in the city center and has all the international brands. You can start of at Dam Square and walk through this street until the end. Another street just like this one is the Nieuwdijk. This is across from the Kalverstraat close to Dam Square. This street is a bit smaller and has less famous brands.

What to do in Amsterdam? If you want to visit boutiques in Amsterdam, then you can go to the 9 straatjes. The 9 straatjes means the nine streets and these streets are fully packed with boutiques. The streets are located behind Dam Square (a bit further up the canals). The streets are very old and the shops are cozy. You can find second hand clothing shops, art galleries and jewellery shops.

Expensive shops

Let’s call these the expensive shops. These shops, such as Louis Vuitton and Chanel, are located in the P.C. Hooftstraat. This street is located next to Vondelpark. The street is not as impressive as it can be in any other European expensive street.. But it has all the famous brands here.
