Summer in Amsterdam 

When you spend the summer in Amsterdam, if only for a few days during the summer season, there are a lot of options to do. If you want to act like a typical tourist, Amsterdam has a lot to offer. Visit the Van Gogh Museum, go to the Anne Frank house and make a beautiful tour with a boat through the canals of Amsterdam. All of these mentioned are very fun to do. Visit the North (NDSM)

Maybe you’ve taken the ferry already across the canal once before. But did you go straight across? Then it’s now time to take the ferry to a different part of the North of Amsterdam. Take the ferry to NDSM-werf. The boat will take you there in about fifteen minutes. At the NDSM-werf there’s been a lot of changes over the last few years. It’s very much upcoming and you can look upfront if there’s any festival going on near the water (near the ferry). You can visit the restaurant near the ferry for a perfect meal. Or take the pancake boat! This boat will take you through the canal and you can enjoy the all you can eat pancake offer. Nothing compared to a crêpe, these are real big, (a bit fatty )Dutch pancakes!

The Amsterdam Beach

Yes! Amsterdam has a beach. Not your typical sandy beach with salty water, but it’s a beach (with sand) at the big lake called Ijsselmeer. You can find the beach at Ijburg. To get there, take tram 26 from Central Station. It’ll take about twentyfive minutes to get to the beach. You can hang out here and find a nice place to sit and eat some food. Grab a beer here and enjoy the sand, water and sunshine!
